Trump is replacing the U.S. dollar
No one has told you about it or prepared you for it…
A dollar reset on this scale has happened just once before in our 250-year history.
That was back in 1974, with a secret deal struck in a Saudi desert that quietly determined the financial fate of an entire generation of Americans.
It created extraordinary wealth for some, while casting millions more into relative poverty.
Now, 52 years later, it's happening again.
My name is Porter Stansberry.
I'm the founder of one of the largest independent financial research firms in the world. Over the last 30 years we've helped hundreds of thousands of Americans navigate almost every major economic cycle.
We've been on the forefront of every big financial story – from the collapse of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to the rise of Bitcoin, the COVID inflation surge, and the artificial intelligence revolution.
But today, I need to expose a story the likes of which we haven't seen in half a century.
And as you'll see, the aftershock of this event could reset not just your personal wealth, but the entire foundation of the U.S. dollar.
How you save, how you invest, how you protect everything you've built… it's all being reshaped by what Fortune calls "the biggest change to the world's relationship with the dollar" in a generation.
Yet almost nobody is prepared for it.
So if you've been watching the chaos of the past year unfold, struggling to make sense of it all – you're about to get the answers you've been searching for.
Everything from the government taking direct equity stakes in tiny mining companies… to Trump's obsession with Greenland… his strange deals with Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Sam Altman, and Mark Zuckerberg… the re-opening of shuttered nuclear plants… and a $12 billion stockpile of obscure metals most Americans have never heard of…
It's all deeply and inexorably connected to an inescapable fact no one has prepared you for:
His shocking money reset has bypassed all conventional channels – enacted instead through a series of executive orders, bi-lateral deals, and a landmark treaty signed by 13 nations in December 2025 (barely reported in the press) called Pax Silica.
You need to know that the financial decisions you make in the face of Trump's New Dollar could dictate whether you're enriched, or quietly impoverished by the seismic shift already underway.
The stocks to buy. The assets to avoid. And the critical moves our research indicates you should make to ensure you and your family end up on the right side of this once-in-a-generation wealth divide…

How China Split Tungsten in Two
The deficit won't close before 2030.
Tungsten went from $83 to $340 per kilogram in seven months. That is a 310% move. The benchmark is ammonium paratungstate, or APT. It is the standard traded form of the metal.
Tungsten goes into armor-piercing rounds, missile parts, and munitions. Military use is forecast to rise 12% in 2026. Active wars in Ukraine and the Middle East are burning stockpiles. When a tungsten munition detonates, the metal is destroyed. You cannot recycle a bomb that already went off. The overall recycling rate is just 30%.
The United States has not mined a single ton since 2015. China mined 67,000 of the world's 85,000 metric tons in 2025. Three policy forces are squeezing that supply now. Prices inside and outside China are splitting into two systems.
The Big Idea
Three policy forces have split the tungsten market into two pricing systems. China cut exports. The Pentagon banned Chinese tungsten from defense procurement. The Commerce Department sealed off scrap. The 16,000-tonne deficit cannot close before 2030. Mines take years to build.
The move Washington made in 1934
In 1934, the government executed a legal maneuver that transferred billions in wealth overnight.
Most Americans had no idea it was coming.
A small group who saw it early walked away wealthy.
Everyone else paid for it.
Trump has the same legal authority today. Advisors close to the administration believe he's considering using it. If he does, the transfer happens fast — and the window to be on the right side of it is already closing.
We put together a free report on exactly what this move is, why the timing points to now, and the one step ordinary Americans can take to position themselves before it happens.
It costs nothing. Takes 30 seconds to request.
The people who moved early in 1934 didn't have a warning.
You do.
The Main Valve Closes
China controls nearly 80% of global tungsten mining and over 80% of processing. In February 2025, Beijing placed tungsten under export controls. On January 6, 2026, it tightened them further. The new rules required export licenses for tungsten as a controlled material with military uses.
The effect was immediate. Chinese tungsten shipments dropped roughly 40%. Japan received zero tungsten carbide or powder for three months, February through April. Beijing then authorized only 15 firms to export tungsten through 2027.
The supply valve nearly shut.
Observation: Chinese tungsten exports fell roughly 40% after the January 2026 controls.
Interpretation: With 80% market share, China's export licensing sets the price for every buyer on Earth.
The Squeeze From Both Sides
Two U.S. policy moves tightened the vise from below.
A Pentagon procurement rule takes effect January 1, 2027. After that date, defense contractors cannot use tungsten from China, Russia, North Korea, or Iran. Contractors once got waivers by showing a Chinese supplier was cheapest. A July 2026 executive order closed that loophole. Now they must prove they searched for alternatives.
On August 27, 2026, the Bureau of Industry and Security banned tungsten scrap exports. All U.S. scrap now stays inside the country. Material that once left as secondary supply is locked in.
China shut the main supply line. The Pentagon forced demand away from it. The scrap ban sealed the secondary valve. All three moved within eighteen months.
Observation: The January 2027 ban and the August 2026 scrap rule force demand onto non-Chinese supply that barely exists.
Interpretation: U.S. policy is funneling demand into the tightest corridor of the market.
One Metal, Two Prices
The proof shows up in the price.
The Western benchmark is APT at Rotterdam. It sat at $3,075 per metric ton unit in late July 2026. An mtu equals 10 kilograms of tungsten trioxide. The Chinese domestic price was roughly $1,000 per mtu. That is a $2,000 gap for the same metal. One commodity. Two pricing systems. The gap is widening.
Money is not the constraint. S&P Global estimates new mines work at $36 to $48 per kilogram. The current price is $340. Capital wants to build. But geology does not run on capital's schedule.
The Pentagon committed $450 million to Elmet Group. Elmet is the only U.S.-owned integrated tungsten producer. Mine restart is planned for late 2027. Processing follows in the second half of 2028.
The largest Western project is Cove Kaz, a mining venture in Kazakhstan. It does not produce until 2030. S&P Global projects a 16,000-tonne deficit outside China by 2030. That holds even with every announced project running.
The 310% price move is not a spike. It is the market pricing in a reality measured in years.
Observation: The gap between Rotterdam APT at $3,075 per mtu and Chinese domestic APT near $1,000 is $2,000 for the same metal.
Interpretation: The market has split into two pricing systems that no announced project closes before 2030.
Quick Hits
China mined 67,000 of 85,000 metric tons in 2025. It controls over 80% of processing.
APT rose from $83 to $340 per kilogram between January and July 2026.
Chinese exports fell roughly 40% after January 2026 controls took effect.
The Pentagon cannot buy Chinese-origin tungsten after January 1, 2027.
A Commerce Department rule effective August 2026 keeps U.S. tungsten scrap inside the country.
The Pentagon invested $450 million in Elmet Group, with mine restart planned for late 2027.
All announced projects combined still leave a 16,000-tonne gap by 2030.
What the Price Gap Is Signaling
The spread between Chinese domestic tungsten and the Western benchmark is the signal worth tracking. Right now that gap is $2,000 per mtu. If it widens, the bifurcation is deepening. If it narrows, new supply or a policy shift is starting to bite.
The January 1, 2027 Pentagon deadline is a hard date. Defense contractors need compliant supply or an approved sourcing plan by then. Watch for deals with non-Chinese producers. The pace of those deals tells you whether the industry is adapting or scrambling.
Two timelines set the boundary for supply relief. Elmet's mine restart in late 2027 is the first. Cove Kaz production in 2030 is the second. Until those come online, the market runs on a shrinking pool of non-Chinese material. The deficit is 16,000 tonnes. It is not closing on schedule.
The Map So Far
Three policy forces have split the tungsten market into two pricing systems. The gap is $2,000 per mtu and widening. No announced project closes it before 2030.

Until next time,
